Key Focus Areas: Officer Advocacy: Acts as the collective voice for RVIPF officers in discussions with government officials, including the Governor and Police Commissioner, to ensure fair working conditions and resources. Community Outreach: The PWA actively gives back to the local BVI community. For instance, officers used the association to donate 30 car seats to the Dr. Orlando Smith Hospital's Obstetrics Ward and the Family Support Network. Member Support: Focuses on the mental health, physical well-being, and professional morale of the police force.

    The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) Welfare Committee is a statutory body mandated by the Cayman Islands Police Act. It is dedicated to supporting the mental health, physical well-being, and professional development of police officers and their immediate families. Core Purpose and Programs Mental and Physical Wellness: The committee sponsors wellness initiatives, including health education seminars (such as cancer awareness events), psychological support, and general well-being conferences. Financial Assistance: The committee administers the Police Welfare Fund (PWF), which is used to support officers and staff during times of personal hardship. Family Support: The fund and its associated programs aim to extend wellness and support networks to the families of serving RCIPS officers. Leadership and Regional Representation The RCIPS Welfare Committee plays an active role in regional police advocacy. The committee’s chairman, Sergeant Cornelius Pompey, notably serves as the First Vice President of the Caribbean Federation of Police Welfare Associations (CFPWA). Through this organization, the RCIPS collaborates with regional departments to improve the welfare and working conditions of police officers across the Caribbean.
